Some kid had an earache and went to the doctor...and there were two spiders LIVING in his ear!!!!!

Camellia Grill reopens this weekend! According to the Times Pic it's only open from 8am to 8pm (no post-CFB snackings, then) but I am so excited nonetheless. I hope Brun and Melvin are back! |

So, you want your artwork to be worn all around town as our Marathon 2007 t-shirt graphic? Here's the dish:
Send your artwork to promotions@wtul.fm, in tiff or jpeg format, by Thursday February 1.
Winner receives a Marathon 2006 "goodie bag," including a t-shirt with their fabulous graphic.
Useable graphics will be narrowed down by members of WTUL's Marathon Staff, and will be voted on by WTUL's General Airstaff. Winner will receive notification by email at the address from which the graphic was submitted.
All submissions become property of WTUL New Orleans. WTUL reserves the right to use any submissions in any way we see fit, including but not limited to our website, Myspace, flyers, buttons, and The Vox.
WTUL reserves the right to alter the winning graphic in any way necessary to make it printable.
Of course we want you to be as creative as possible, but since the artwork will be printed on a shirt, you need to keep these points in mind:
- Include the words "WTUL" and "Marathon 2007" in your graphic. "37th Annual Rock-On Survival Marathon" is also acceptable instead of "Marathon 2006."
- Higher quality images are better.
- Make sure your image includes a fair amount of negative (background) space, because a large printed image that has no t-shirt showing through makes for an uncomfortable, rubbery mess.
- Limit your design to one or two printed colors (not including the background/tshirt color).
- Please leave the background of the graphic white. You may suggest a tshirt color in your submission, or submit a second copy of the graphic with your background color of choice. |

WTUL has switched over to the fall schedule, but IMHO the real Saturday night party has not started since I"m still out of town. I'll be back Sept 16 and DJ D_A and I will officially kick off the semester at midnight.
Since D is even nerdier than I am (but decidedly anti-social networking), we're switching to a Wordpress blog that he has set up on the Trafalmadore Records website. If I do any prog shows I'll log the playlists here, but otherwise you can go to the new CFB site for our weekly jams. |

So it feels a little weird to be listening to CFB from CA. But D_A is doing a great job so I'm not worried or anything.
I just got back from my lil cuz Carrie's bat mitvah. Well I guess she isn't little anymore! She did SUCH a good job, and the party was really fun. I led the electric slide, which we did to "Sexy Back" by JT. Classic, I know. |

I won't be on air for a few weeks as I am going to California to spend some time with my family. Tom will be doing Monday 10-mid until the new schedule starts. Dustin will be doing Caution: Falling Beats solo until I return, and then we'll be dropping the beats together for the fall semester. This will be the first time I am not doing a 10-mid in four years, which is weird, but I am very very excited to DJ with D_A.
On a personal note, I'd like to make an official intarweb shoutout to my fabulous roommates Katie, Lauren and Megan. I am so excited that everyone is finally moved in. Now that the crazies are gone, it's like a totally different house, and I love it! |

- My house is awesome! The crazies are gone, Megan is back in town, Lauren just moved in and Katie comes at the end of the week. It is like a different place!
- Hung out with D_A today, so glad he's back!
- Megan's film got in to the Sonoma film festival, which is incredible so I am so excited for her.
